A global supplier and manufacturer of products for furniture companies.
The Project Director is responsible for implementation of new ERP system and the complex change management connected to this new ERP system additionally he/she is also responsible for planning, executing, and finalizing other projects according to strict deadlines and within budget. This includes acquiring resources and coordinating the efforts of team members and third-party contractors or consultants to deliver projects according to plan. The Project Director will also collect and define the project’s objectives and oversee quality control throughout its life cycle.
Reporting to - Chief Executive Officer
Project Planning and Management
- Define project scope, goals, and deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.
- Develop full-scale project plans and associated communications documents.
- Effectively communicate project expectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion.
- Estimate the resources and participants needed to achieve project goals.
- Draft and submit budget proposals and recommend subsequent budget changes where necessary.
- Creation and continuous control of the planned budget.
Team Leadership
- Direct and manage project development from beginning to end.
- Develop and deliver progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation, and presentations.
- Coach, mentor, motivate, and supervise project team members and contractors, and influence them to take positive action and accountability for their assigned work.
Stakeholder Management
- Liaise with project stakeholders on an ongoing basis.
- Set and continually manage project expectations with team members and other stakeholders.
- Identify and resolve issues and conflicts within the project team.
Risk Management
- Identify and manage project dependencies and critical path.
- Plan and schedule project timelines and milestones using appropriate tools.
- Track project milestones and deliverables.
- Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies.
Quality Assurance
- Conduct project post-mortems and create a recommendations report in order to identify successful and unsuccessful project elements.
- Develop best practices and tools for project execution and management.
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
- Minimum of 5 years of project management experience in IT.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification, or other certifications such as CAPM, Prince2, or Six Sigma, are preferred.
- Experience with ERP implementation in a commercial-manufacturing company.
- Must have knowledge of business processes in a commercial-manufacturing company.
- Experience with Change Management, Process Improvement, Continuous Improvement, and Process Reengineering.
- Proven experience in IT infrastructure planning and development.
- Strong familiarity with project management software tools, methodologies, and best practices.
- Experience with Agile and Scrum methodologies.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Experience with communication on Board Level.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Fluency in Czech or Slavak language.
